Escape From Alcatraz

Why is it that EVERY time this comes on t.v. and I'm flipping channels ... the remote stops here and I must watch from whatever spot till the end. Is there some sort of subliminal programming going on. I don't recall having any inclination to drink pepsi or coke or eat popcorn or anything - so frankly I'm confused by this seemingly natural phenomenon. I feel like the fricken manchurian candidate and somebody just opened up a deck of cards and started played solitaire.
